The owners wanted a true escape for two — an intimate, standalone cottage in historic German Village with the warm, storybook charm of the cottage from The Holiday. We leaned all the way in: a calm, gentle palette as the backdrop, then layers of pattern and texture across every textile in the house — the kind of collected, lived-in softness you can't fake.
The character lives in the details. Figurines, framed wall art, antique mirrors, vintage kitchen pieces and a wall of old-world plates hung in the kitchen build a look that feels rustic, vintage and genuinely loved — not styled for a photo, but settled in over years. The result is a perfect five-star cottage that books as a romantic getaway all its own.
